New Chameleon Solution Installation for the Quebec Ministry of Transport!
We’re proud to announce the successful deployment of our Chameleon solution — designed and manufactured in Canada by Fiber Connections Inc. — at the Halte routière Sainte-Anne-du-Sault, for the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ), in collaboration with a local contractor.
For this project, our Chameleon solution was composed of:
- a Power Patch Panel providing centralized power injection and media conversion
- a hybrid cable combining fiber optic and copper conductors
- a remote GatorLink installed near the PoE end device, IP67 rated, passively cooled, and designed to withstand -40 °C to +70 °C
This approach allows customers to power and connect PoE devices beyond the standard 90 m Ethernet limit — without having to install a new IT cabinet (with local power, switch, heater, and air conditioning) near the end device.
